Custom photography is…custom. The location, season, props, setting, poses and product selection are all customized to fit exactly what you envision. You are an individual. Unique fashion sense, unique taste in your surroundings, unique relationships with each family member all define you. I want to give you a custom experience because you are one of a kind. Like everything else in life, there are various levels of quality in the photography industry. Custom photography is a luxury that is not for everyone. It’s something that you maybe get done only once in a while, like eating at a fancy five-star restaurant as opposed to driving through a fast food joint. It requires a high level of commitment and investment on both the client’s part and the photographer’s part. There are many reasons that it costs more for custom photography than it does for a chain studio like Sears or Walmart. But what it boils down to is that I am one person. I devote myself entirely to your shoot in a way that Sears or Walmart could never do. You are not a number to me. I plan for weeks, collect the perfect props, sketch new poses, invest in thousands of dollars of equipment. I pour my heart and soul into every minute I spend with you during the shoot. I treat each image like the art piece it is as I meticulously edit it to perfection. Let me pamper you– you’ll be thrilled with the experience, I promise.
Excerpt from The Consumer Guide for Custom Photography: “This level of quality and commitment is all but lost in the age of ‘mass produced,’ ‘mass marketed,’ corporate ‘everyone is a number’. Custom photography is based on being unique to you. How great an experience would be, to be able to sit back and allow a photographer to do this highly custom work for images that you will most likely cherish for a lifetime?”
