This session was a special one for me because Oliver’s big sister happened to be my very first newborn client back in 2010. It was humbling that the Price family wanted to return and use me once again. It was also humbling to be reminded of just how much growth I’ve had in the last three years. Looking at big sisters session compared to “baby O’s” session was on the verge of embarrassing until I reminded myself that both sessions are equally cherished by their parents for what they captured.Oliver was a very sweet and cooperative little peanut and big sister even managed to work with us for some cuddly photos (which is quite a challenge for a three year old! ) Thank you Price family for your loyalty and for giving me the pleasure of documenting your sweet family grow.

I can never get enough of newborn sessions. They’re SO much work but they’re so worth it! It’s amazing to get to work with such brand new little people and it’s even more amazing to know that I’m capturing the most fleeting time in our human lives which is something that the moms and dads I work with express gratitude for to me even years after their newborn shoot. Oh and check out this little lady’s pink toe nail polish! Too cute.

This little lady is the first newborn I’ve had whose older sibling I did newborn photos of and it was so fun to get to see the family again! (I also saw them last summer for a fun firefighter themed shot in honor of dad’s volunteer work). And her big sister Shiloh, who I did newborn photos of two years ago is beyond cute. She saying “hey cal!” from across the room just to make sure that my name still worked and that she was still capable of getting my attention Beyond cute.
